Well, it's been summer for a little while now. School's long over. But I've been busy enough that it doesn't really feel like it.
In any case, YHMH music has been put to the wayside for awhile now. However, I have two other bands running. The first one, Lockpick, is currently recording it's second EP scheduled for a release in mid to late summer. The other is still unnamed, but we're writing songs for a debut soon and hopefully get enough practice to start some shows going.
So that's really all, but eventually YHMH will start up again soon. But I promise in the meantime I'll be busy with lots of music :) -YHMH

SOME IMPORTANT NEWS (and other random thoughts)
As the title promises, here's the most recent news update from the YHMH headquarters: (a.k.a. my basement)
Over the last month or so, I've been writing and recording several new tracks, many of which are turning out quite nicely. These songs are covering a wide variety of styles, from bright pop-y stuff to ballads to dark, brooding melodies, and so on.
HOWEVER, it looks like you'll have to wait a good month or so before you get to hear any more from me. Schoolwork is taking up all my time, between classes, after-school activities, and so on. I prolly don't even have time to be writing this post, but I'm taking the time anyway cause I can't focus on the work I should be doing :P
Even though you'll all have to wait to hear anything new, for now you can check out the single "18 Years" and download it FOR FREE from several different links. (they're all in my post about this on the blog page, as well as on ReverbNation, Facebook, and so on)
And a sneak peak bit of info, but I'll be re-recording that song, cleaning it up, changing a couple things around, and it'll be going on the debut album, whenever that comes out. Don't get antsy waiting for it though, it'll be awhile. I've got two other bands going, and they'll be taking up the majority of musical focus for all of this summer and into the fall.
So until I free myself of the horrid-ness that is junior year, this is where we'll have to say goodbye to YHMH progress :( have a great Easter weekend!

Broken Furnaces Suck!
So yesterday my furnace broke. Figures.
Wait, it gets better: I don't get a new one till Monday.
And even better: the fireplace was being strange and blowing out every ten seconds.
That last problem has been fixed though.
Anyway, the house is about sixty degrees and the only desirable rooms to be in are the living room (with the fireplace) and my bedroom, where I can shut the door, turn on a portable heater, and wrap myself in blankets to stave off the cold air.
Ah well. It's not so bad really. At least winter's pretty much over, so it's not below freezing. Yet.
In other news, I finished two YHMH songs in two days. That's written, recorded, mixed, mastered, all by myself, all in two days. TWO. I'm proud of myself. They're pretty good songs too.
Hope y'all have a great weekend!

The Seven Wonders Of The World
I know it's been forever since I've come out with any YHMH news. Truth be told, there hasn't been much to tell. None music-related anyway. But that's changing soon. I've been thinking of a couple new song ideas, and I'm beginning to record one or two of them.
So you should hear some from that in the not-too-distant future.
But that's not the point of this post.
This post is about probably the most mundane thing I could think of.
The following are my seven wonders of the world, not because they are rare, or special, or contain any deep meaning, but just that I appreciate them for no apparent reason.
So here goes:
1. Waffles - any list of things I like has to start with waffles. Inside joke. Well, not really, but that doesn't matter. So here's a big ol' fat picture of a waffle.
2. Boat shoes - I wear them every day. Without fail. Unless I stay inside all day and don't use any shoes at all.
3. Guitar picks - I can barely play a guitar without one. Well I can, but only acoustic chords and some simple riffs. Anything electric has to be picked, no questions asked.
4. Big words - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, antidisestablishmentarianism, pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, you get the idea.
5. Gingers and redheads - I don't know why I'm picking this of all things, but hey. They're inherently good for two reasons: one, you can make incessant riffs on their hair, skin, and soul :P and two, most of them are really cool people.
6. Psych - Shawn Spencer is amazing. That's indisputable. Though "Sean" is a better spelling, I think. Could just be because my genius friend has the latter.
7. Capos - without them, I'd be stuck to the same four or five chords in every song I wrote. And you wouldn't appreciate that, would you?

There ya go. I don't know why you wasted your time reading this, but thank you if you did :)
